Updates: Milky Rain poured in US Northwest region. The mysterious "milky rain" made residents of the region shock on Friday. They couldn't identify what is this milk-like rain that fall from the sky on February 6, 2015.

Scientists are planning to test the water whether it has dangerous substance or what it composed of.

"We don't have any reason to think there's anything wrong, but there's no reason not to be cautious if you're concerned," she added. "You may want to wash it off your car with water, rather than with your hands, and avoid touching it and breathing it in."

Liquid that looks like milk fell from the sky on Friday, and ended up in a Spokane National Weather Service rain gauge.

The milky-white, dirty rain fell over parts of eastern Oregon and Washington Friday, leaving windows, vehicles, and people, coated with the ashy substance. Early speculation pointed to volcano eruptions as far away as Russia.

But now it looks like the source of the mystery rain is much closer to home: Nevada. This powerful storm hit the Reno area Thursday night and Friday. Its winds, gusting to more than 60 miles an hour, kicked up blinding dust causing dozens of crashes.
