This is something that even Christians do not agree on. There are those that feel it is, and many more that feel it is not. This is a belief sparked by Harold Camping, a religious leader at Family Radio. Keep in mind that a few months back, they were saying the date was March 21st, 2011. They amended this date after March 21st came and went. According to this group, judgement day will come on May 21st, 2011 and the world will end October 11, 2011. Here are both sides:
Yes:
The REAL place to have your question answered is by going to the Bible. The BIBLE will answer your question if you prayerfully search out the question within its pages.
Since you did ask, I will answer. But PLEASE, do NOT believe me, go to the Bible and believe it and God. Yes May 21, 2011 IS real. May 21, 2011 (in 174 days) IS Judgment Day without question. The Bible GUARANTEES it! May 21st, 2011 is presented as the judgement date in the book Time Has an End published in 2005.
No:
The Bible specifically says that no one knows when the end will come. It also says there will be many false prophets.
Some points:
Matthew 24:36 However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows.
Mark 13:32 No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
Acts 1:7 He said to them: "It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority.
Matthew 24:33 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
2 Peter 2:1 But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them--bringing swift destruction on themselves.
2 Tim 4:3 For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.
